Minnesota Fishing
Blackduck Minnesota provides a ideal central location that allows for daily
fishing excursions to some of the top fishing waters in Northern Minnesota.
Blackduck is only a short drive from some
of the worlds best trophy muskie and pike waters. Red Lake, Winnie, Cass and
Lake Bemidji all offer you a chance to catch the fish of a lifetime. In
addition, surrounding Blackduck are numerous smaller lakes that give you a
chance to explore our area, dozens of panfish lakes, more shots at walleyes,
northern pike and bass, and even a designated trout lake.

located on the east side of Blackduck Lake ½ mile from the public access and
1 ½ miles from the town of Blackduck.
Blackduck Lake

the best Walleye fishing lakes in the Northern Minnesota area!
Blackduck Lake consists of 2596 acres with a maximum depth of 28 feet a
median depth of 15ft and 8.5 miles of shoreline. With a sandy bottom, bays
and bars, it has good structure with an island in the center. It is a great
opener lake, as it warms up early. The island is a bird sanctuary where bald
eagles nest each year. Blackduck Lake is known for its’ great walleye,
northern pike and yellow perch. Other varieties of fish that can be found in
the lake are sunfish, brown bullhead, black crappie, largemouth bass and
freshwater drum.
Red
Lake

known for its’ Giant Black Crappie
Upper Red Lake is 108,000 acre lake, 56% (60,000 acres) of which is under
the jurisdiction of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians (Red Lake Band).
The remaining 44% (48,000 acres) falls under the jurisdiction of the state
of Minnesota. Red Lake is 24 miles long and 9-12 miles wide and has some of
the best ice fishing Minnesota has to offer. With walleye fishing opening in
the spring of 2006 after being closed for many years Red Lake will be a top
walleye producer. Trophy northern pike, white fish, perch and many other
game fish can also be found in the lake.

In addition to great fishing, there is outstanding hunting in the immediate
area, including deer, black bear, grouse and waterfowl.
